Tata Motors has registered its highest ever sales since its inception in 1998. A 59 percent growth has been registered by Tata Motors since 2021. 331 lakh units sold in 2021 by the carmaker.
Tata Motors’ SUV portfolio has contributed a lot to this sales as SUVs are becoming increasingly popular among car buyers. One of the best selling products of Tata is Nexon. Tata Motors is the second best selling car brand in India after the Nexon, which has consistently overtaken the Hyundai Creta in 2022.
Apart from this, Tata Punch, the small SUV of Tata Motors, is also getting a lot of headlines. It is available for purchase starting from Rs.6 Lakh onwards. Tata Motors is also number one in electric cars with its Nexon, Togor and Tiago models. The cheapest EV in India is the Tata Tigor EV.
The growing demand for CNG vehicles resulted in Tata Motors entering this segment this year as well. The company has directly challenged Maruti Suzuki by launching CNG versions of Tigor and Tiago.
