Samsung has brought a new display technology called Flex Titanium, which will not only make the upcoming Galaxy foldable phones stronger but with its help these phones can also be made slim. What is the new Flex Titanium technology?
Flex Titanium is Samsung’s new foldable display structure, which will replace the conventional support material with two components made of titanium. In this, a titanium alloy film is placed below the OLED display. Then a titanium support plate is provided below it. That means the entire display module has been prepared on this support plate. All these layers together will help in increasing the durability of the display without making it heavy. Samsung claims that the titanium alloy film used in it is 20 times stronger than traditional polymer film. Apart from this, in the new technology, the air gap between the display components has also been eliminated, due to which the crease on the display will also be less visible and folding the phone will become easier.
Why has titanium been used in new technology?
Spacecraft, satellites and even the wheels of the rover roaming on Mars are made of titanium. Talking about its benefits, firstly it is very strong. Second, it does not rust. Although, it is quite difficult to bend, but after long research, Samsung has succeeded in striking the right balance between strength and flexibility.

It is being told that the display with Flex Titanium technology will provide crisp visuals, better colors and energy efficiency. No information has been revealed yet as to which foldable phone this technology will be used in, but it is believed that this secret will also be revealed in the Galaxy Unpacked event to be held on July 22.
