Indian team on England tour t20 After the 0-4 defeat in the series, questions are being raised on the technique of the batsmen and the structure of domestic cricket. Meanwhile, the experienced batsman of Team India Cheteshwar Pujara Has given important advice to BCCI. He believes that if Indian batsmen have to be consistently successful on foreign tours, then the nature of the pitches prepared in India will have to be changed.

Advocating changes in domestic pitches

Pujara said that such wickets should be prepared in India, where the bowlers also get adequate help. According to him, given the challenging conditions in domestic cricket, the batsmen will be better prepared to play in difficult conditions. He said that in conditions like England, Indian batsmen have to struggle against swing and seam movement, a major reason for which is the lack of such pitches at the domestic level.

Questions raised on IPL pitches also

The former Indian batsman also expressed concern over the continuous high scores in the IPL. He says that if 250 or 260 runs are scored in every match, the balance of cricket gets disturbed. Spectators also prefer those matches where there is an equal competition between bat and ball. If the pitch is completely favorable for the batsmen and the boundaries are also small then it will be very difficult for the bowlers to make a comeback.

Difficulty for bowlers increased in T20 cricket

Pujara said that in T20 cricket, bowlers already have very little margin for error. In such a situation, if the wickets are completely in favor of batting, then the match becomes one-sided. He believes that the thrill of the game remains only when the bowlers get help from the conditions and the batsmen have to work hard for every run.

Necessary changes for better performance on foreign tours

Referring to the performance of Indian batsmen on the England tour, Pujara said that the shortcomings in their footwork and shot selection were clearly visible. This was the reason why the team remained under constant pressure. He suggested that if India has to perform better on foreign tours in future and make a strong bid in ICC tournaments, then BCCI should seriously consider the change in the nature of domestic pitches. With this, the batsmen will get used to playing in difficult conditions right from the beginning and their performance abroad will also improve.
