‘If you expel Muslims from India…’, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s statement welcomed in AMU

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s statement regarding Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) founder Sir Syed Ahmed Khan is being welcomed. Senior historian and former public relations officer of AMU, Rahat Abrar, has appreciated Bhagwat’s statement.

Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat had recently said that if you expel Muslims from India, there will be no Hindutva. He also mentioned about Arya Samaj felicitating Sir Syed Ahmed Khan in Lahore. Bhagwat said that Sir Syed was greeted by calling him a Muslim barrister, different from Hindu barristers.

Rahat Abrar welcomed

AMU historian Rahat Abrar welcomed Bhagwat’s statement and said that praising Sir Syed Ahmed Khan is commendable. He said that Sir Syed had lit the lamp of education, whose light is still visible in many universities.

Sir Syed did not like Congress

Rahat Abrar revealed that Sir Syed Ahmed Khan did not like Congress. He told that Congress was established under the influence of Sir Syed’s ideas, but Sir Syed himself stayed away from Congress.

Let us tell you that Sir Syed Ahmed Khan was a prominent Muslim reformer of the 19th century. He established MAO College in 1875 to promote modern education, which later became Aligarh Muslim University. Mohan Bhagwat’s statement remains a topic of discussion on social media.
